Job Shadowing Initiative (JSI)

ABQ introduced an innovative Job Shadowing Initiative (JSI) in 2023 aimed at empowering Grade 11 students with valuable insights into the professional world. This programme offers a transformative experience, allowing students to step into the shoes of experts in their chosen career fields.

What is job shadowing? It is time spent observing the work of a professional person at their place of work and seeing what they do on a day-to-day basis.

We believe that job shadowing experiences offer immense benefits to students by providing them with a practical understanding of their career interests and aspirations. This opportunity empowers them to make well-informed decisions about their future and greatly enhances their overall career readiness.
