ABQ Scholarship Winners Announced

After a rigorous selection process spanning several weeks, ABQ Education Group recently announced the names of the recipients for its highly coveted ABQ Merit scholarships, awarded for academic excellence. This scholarship programme, open to grade 9-12 students, aims to recognise and reward academic brilliance amongst both ABQ and non-ABQ students. The selection criteria for the scholarships were based solely on academic merit, ensuring that only the most deserving candidates were chosen.

Humayun Kabir, CEO of ABQ Education Group noted, “The ABQ Merit scholarships truly recognise and nurture talent within the academic realm. Our decision to increase the number of recipients to 13 from the initial 12 was due to the exceptionally high standard of submissions and stands as a testament to our commitment towards academic excellence.”

Applicants were required to go through multiple rounds of evaluation, each designed to provide substantial evidence of their exceptional academic history. The process involved the submission of their latest school reports, a digital interview clip, an essay explaining why they deserved to win, and an independent benchmarking assessment. These steps collectively aimed to identify students who exhibited outstanding academic potential.

Kabir expressed his excitement regarding the first year’s applicants and the bright future he envisions for the scholarship recipients. He believes that the chosen students will make a significant impact not only within the ABQ community but also in their future academic pursuits.

The scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to attend any of ABQ’s premium international schools, namely ABQ Azzan Bin Qais, ABQ Seeb, or ABQ Sohar. The scholarship programme accommodates students studying for the GED, IGCSE, and AS/A Level examinations, ensuring a diverse group of talented individuals can benefit from this opportunity.

With two years of free tuition, the scholarship recipients will have the privilege of immersing themselves in ABQ’s excellent academic environment. ABQ has a proven track record of providing high-quality education, and these students are poised for future success with their scholarships.

An official award ceremony will be held at the start of the new academic year in September and the ABQ family eagerly anticipates witnessing the growth and achievements of these exceptional individuals.
