ABQ Announces Scholarships Programme for New School Year
In ABQ’s ongoing quest to offer quality education and to reward academic excellence, Oman’s leading K-12 operator is offering 12 academic scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year at any of their three premium international schools (ABQ Azzan Bin Qais in Madinat Sultan Qaboos, ABQ Seeb and ABQ Sohar).
The scholarships will be awarded to students whose academic performance throughout the year demonstrated remarkable consistency at the highest level of achievement.
ABQ Education Group CEO, Mr Humayun Kabir, explained, “Education is the foundation of success, but the cost of tuition, and other educational expenses can add up quickly, making it difficult for many families to afford excellent education. However, ABQ is committed to helping twelve students pursue their academic dreams by offering a range of scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year.”
ABQ is currently accepting online applications for the scholarship programme and entries close on Monday, 15 May 2023,
ABQ Education Group Chief Learning Officer, Mr Sigve Austheim, elaborated, “Three scholarships are available per grade from Grade 9 to 12 for the following courses: IGCSE Grade 9, IGCSE Grade 10, GED Grade 11, GED Grade 12, AS Level Grade 11 and A Level Grade 12. The scholarships are offered to ABQ and non-ABQ students and are awarded in the form of a 100% waiver of tuition fees. Each scholarship is valid for two academic years, except for those given for Grade 12, which are one-year
scholarships.”

Applying for ABQ’s Merit Scholarships is easy and straightforward. The first step is to check the eligibility criteria, application requirements and terms and conditions outlined on the Group’s website (www.abq.edu.om/scholarship).
Late applications will not be accepted, so it is essential to submit the application well in advance of the deadline.
Once the application period has closed, the scholarship panel will review all applications and select the most deserving candidates based on the eligibility criteria and other factors to proceed to the followingn rounds.
The successful students will be notified on Tuesday, 13 June, to attend an official award ceremony on Wednesday, 14 June.
