All four ABQ schools proudly participated in Oman’s annual Unified Sports Day, known as “Shwayat Riyada” (“A Little Sport”), organised by the Oman School Sports Association. Held across the Sultanate on 1 December 2025, the nationwide initiative aims to promote physical fitness, encourage active lifestyles and strengthen students’ awareness of the importance of regular exercise.
Throughout the day, ABQ Azzan, ABQ Seeb, ABQ Sohar and ABQ Al Imtaiz students took part in a wide range of individual and team sporting activities and recreational games. Learners arrived in full sports attire and participated with energy, teamwork and school spirit as they engaged in friendly competition and movement-focused challenges.
Commenting on the event, Ali Asgar Shroff, CEO of ABQ Education Group, said:
“Unified Sports Day is a wonderful reminder that sport is not just about competition — it is about wellbeing, inclusion and building confidence. At ABQ and as part of our ABQ Wellness Programme, we believe in nurturing the whole child, and initiatives like this encourage students to stay active, develop resilience and enjoy the joy of movement. We are proud to stand with schools across the Sultanate of Oman in supporting this national effort.”
ABQ Education Group remains committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, positive habits and meaningful learning experiences for all students.
