Welcome to the ABQ Explorer MQ website! As parents, we all want the best for our children. Every year of a child’s life is incredibly precious and laying the foundations for the future is critical in the first years of a child’s life.

I hope you will enjoy looking around our pages and discovering what makes us special. If you would like to know more, we warmly welcome visits where we can show you around in person and tell you all about us.

We foster exploration of our richly resourced environment and nurture every child’s learning, development and individuality. We are enriched by the diverse culture, heritage, language and identity within our school community, together we create an atmosphere and environment that feels like home.

We strongly believe that children learn best through play. We aim to provide planned, purposeful play experiences. We try to make the nursery as much fun as possible.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

At every age, ABQ focuses on providing a ‘home away from home’ environment with educational opportunities to support your child’s overall growth and development.

Children may attend ABQ Explorer from the age of 18 months to 4 years. This is the period where a child develops their personality and character and they must grow intellectually and emotionally, as well as physically during these formative years.

FEE BREAKDOWN AND SCHOOL HOURS (2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR)

Please try to be on time in the morning so that your child can get the maximum benefit from their time with us. It is important that you also collect your child on time to avoid them getting upset.

Please note:

– All fees are payable in advance.

– For annual enrolments, fees may be paid in 3 instalments, i.e., on the first day of each term. See the registration form for more information.

– Documents required for enrolment:

For the student: copies of passport (with a copy of valid visa page for Non-Omani students), birth certificate and health card (health vaccination card) and 4 recent passport-sized photographs
For parents: copies of father and mothers’ passport, ID (with a copy of valid visa page for non-Omani parents) and residence card for non-Omani students and parents

– A Parent/Teacher communication app will be provided.

– To be provided by the parent/carer: Meals, snacks, nappies* and formula milk*

– A minimum of 2 members of staff will be on duty during extended care.

– If your child is enroled for extended aftercare, but not fetched on time (by 3:30 pm) a late fee of 10 OMR per 30 minutes is payable at the time of pickup.
