Working at ABQ means ample opportunities to learn. We place value on our members of staff’s
continuing professional development and provide a range of opportunities. ABQ believes that a carefully planned programme of CPD improves standards, raises morale and assists with recruitment, retention and succession planning. As part of our continuous improvement plan, we are committed to fostering a positive ethos of continuous learning. This includes both internal and external training. Every year all teachers do online child protection training, whereas as others, such as various webinars, are voluntary. We also provide up to 30 International Teacher Certificates (ITCs) for our staff annually.
Our teachers participate in both local and regional external training courses, and at times also outsidethe region. In addition, we provide a wide selection of shorter online courses for our teachers, and as part of a thriving community of 20+ nationalities, you will also benefit from several INSET courses organized across the schools every year. Overall, we are firmly committed to the idea that all those involved in the school community shall have an entitlement to equality of access to high-quality induction and continuing development.
