Enterprise program
ABQ Sohar International School have been working with Enabling Enterprise for several years. We serve students from 3 to 16 years old, and develop them into well-rounded, imaginative students.Our belief is that an injection of entrepreneurial skills and spirit is required to shift young people’s mindset from ‘a dependence and expectation of government jobs being available after graduation’ to one of innovation, exploration and start-ups.
ABQ Sohar has selected this unique programme to build the essential skills for success – as well as to incubate ideas development among our students so they are ultimately prepared to contribute positively to the local community and economy.
Sport
ABQ Sohar International provides a platform for developing a healthy lifestyle that includes participating in sport. Our school has a rich blend of sports to ensure participation for our students. The sports presented at school include football, basketball, athletics, volleyball, cricket and swimming (teaching students how to swim is a high priority for the school). Taking part in sport at ABQ Sohar our goal is to enhance physical skills, create friendships and grow in the enjoyment of participation.
Cultural heritage
One of our prestigious and most popular Islamic programs features Holy Quran studies. Participation in National Holy Quran readings is an integral part of life at ABQ Sohar International School. Annually our students receive multiple awards and many Holy Quran National titles have been won. Our staff in the Islamic department are devoted to protect and cultivate religious culture within our students. This makes it one of our most sought after programs.
